NOTICE ELECTIONS NOTICE
May 12, 2023
Dear Members,
The election of officers shall take place between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on June 10, 2023, at the local union meeting hall located at 1526 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, Georgia 31408. You must bring a picture identification and your current dues receipt. The ballots will be counted, and the results certified and announced immediately following the closing of the polls. A complete listing of the results shall be posted on all union bulletin boards by the close of business on the day following the election.
The following have been nominated, approved, and running for office:

Absentee ballots shall be available to any member upon written request to the Election Judge at P.O. Box 236, Bloomingdale, GA 31302-9998. Such requests will be accepted up to 5 days prior to the date of the election. No one receiving an absentee ballot will be entitled to vote at the polls without first presenting the Election Judge with the unused ballot. The Election Judge and Observers or Candidate will pick up all remaining ballots the morning of election from the post office box. Absentee ballots received at the post office box after 9 a.m. on June 10, 2023, will not be counted.
In the event a runoff election is required, the same shall be held on July 1, 2023. The same rules shall apply to the runoff election as were applicable to the regular election. Members who requested an absentee ballot for the regular election will automatically receive same for the runoff.
All officers shall be installed and begin their 3-year terms at the regular meeting of the local union on July 13, 2023.
